How Can I Message MicroBase Pro Data To Other
MicroBase Pro Users?
You can use the MicroBase Professional Messaging
feature to send your collected data to other MicroBase Users. In order to use
the MicroBase Pro Messaging feature, you will need a direct Internet connection
on your MicroBase Pro equipped computer. The following examples illustrate
several ways to select the data you want to transmit by MicroBase Pro message.
Example 1: Select All Data Items For A
Particular Aircraft
- Start MicroBase Professional.
- Click Options - Data Filter.
The Data Filter dialog will appear.
- Click Clear Filter. All filter
settings will be cleared.
- In the Aircraft Ident field, enter *NXXXXX*. Where NXXXXX is the aircraft
registration (tail) number or a significant
portion of it.
- Click OK. The filter dialog will
close.
- In the Data View Window (lower left
window), click on MicroBase (Active Filtered Items).
- Verify that all data collected against
aircraft registration number NXXXXX are shown in the Selection List (lower right
window).
Example 2: Select All Data Items For A
Particular Engine
- Start MicroBase Professional.
- Click Options - Data Filter.
The Data Filter dialog will appear.
- Click Clear Filter. All filter
settings will be cleared.
- In the Component S/N field, enter
*XXXXX*. Where XXXXX is the engine S/N or a significant
portion of it.
- Click OK. The filter dialog will
close.
- In the Data View Window (lower left
window), click on MicroBase (Active Filtered Items).
- Verify that all data collected against
engine s/n XXXXX are shown in the Selection List (lower right
window).
Example 3: Select All Data Items Collected
On A Particular Date
This example expects the default Database View
sorting hierarchy of Date -> Aircraft Ident -> Component Name. To change the
sorting hierarchy, click Options - General Settings and then
change the Data View parameters as appropriate.
- Start MicroBase Professional.
- In the Data View Window (lower
left window), Right-Click and select Clear Data Filter. The
data filter will be cleared.
- In the Data View Window, click on the yellow folder which corresponds to the
Collection Date of interest.
- Verify that all items collected on the
Collection Date of interest are shown in the Selection
List (lower right window).
Examples 1-3: Transmit Data Shown In The Selection
List
- With MicroBase Professional running,
verify the presence of an Online flag
in the extreme lower left corner of the MicroBase display. This means you have
a direct Internet connection.
- Click Messages - Create Message.
The new message dialog will pop up on the screen.
- In the To: field, type the MicroBase
Network username of the message recipient (example: MarkLester).
- In the Subject: field, type a subject
that pertains to your data (example: PT6A-42 S/N 12345 Vibration Data).
- In the Text: field, type any
additional information needed to explain the reason for sending your data. You
may want to end the text field with your contact information. (example: Hi
Mark, this is the vibration data we discussed earlier today. John Doe (123)
555-1234).
- In the Attach Data File section,
click Selection List.
- Click Send and the message will be
sent to your recipient.
After your message has been sent, your recipient
can download the message and then import the data into their MicroBase Pro
installation. |
