How Do I Move My MicroBase Pro License And Data To My New Computer?

The basic steps to move MicroBase Pro to your new PC are here:

  • Install the most recent version of MicroBase Pro on your New PC.
  • Update your Old PC to the most recent version of MicroBase Pro.
  • Migrate your old data to your new MicroBase Pro installation.
  • Remove (uninstall) MicroBase Pro from your Old PC.

These steps are explained in detail below. If you are unfamiliar with any of these steps, you may need to engage your IT Professional's help.


 

1. Install And Activate MicroBase Pro On Your New PC
You will need your MicroBase Network Login (username & password) and a valid MicroBase Pro license in order to install MicroBase Pro on your new PC. Instructions are provided in the link below.


 

2. Update Your Old PC To The Most Recent Version Of MicroBase Pro
We strongly recommend that you update your old installation of MicroBase Pro to the most recent version before attempting to migrate your data. Instructions for updating MicroBase Pro are provided in the link below:


 

3. Migrate Your Old Data To Your New MicroBase Pro Installation
Once you have the most recent version of MicroBase Pro installed on your Old and New PCs, you are ready to migrate your data. Instructions for migrating data are provided in the link below:

Important: There are three migration methods mentioned in the FAQ above. When migrating to a new installation, we recommend using the first method listed: Full System Migration (copying the old MicroBase Pro data folder to your new PC).


  4. Remove MicroBase Pro From Your Old PC
Once you have completed the previous three steps, MicroBase Pro must be uninstalled from your Old PC in order to avoid creating a license violation.
