Downloading Application Support Files Via
Web Browser
If you cannot use MicroBase Professional to
connect to the Internet, you can download application support files from the
Dynamic Solutions Systems website. You will need
the following:
- MicroBase Professional installed on your
computer
- Web browser and working Internet
connection.
- Your DSS supplied MicroBase Network
Username and Password.
- Adobe reader (for viewing DSS
Application Notes).
Use the following steps to download Application
Notes via Web Browser:
- Open
www.dssmicro.com in your web browser.
- Click Applications -
MicroVib II Application Notes.
- If prompted, enter your DSS supplied
MicroBase Network Username and Password.
- The MicroVib II Application Notes page
will be displayed.
- Click on the desired application note
and you will be prompted to Open or Save the file. Choose
Save and then select the MicroBase Professional Application Notes
folder for the target location and click Save. The application
notes folder for MicroBase Professional is usually C:\Program Files\Dss\MicroBase\appnotes.
- The application note will be
automatically downloaded and displayed using Adobe Reader.
Use the following steps to download MicroVib II
Group Files:
- Open
www.dssmicro.com in your web
browser.
- Click Applications -
MicroVib II Group Files.
- If prompted, enter your DSS supplied
MicroBase Network Username and Password.
- The MicroVib II Group Files page
will be displayed.
- Click on the desired group file and
you will be prompted to Open or Save the file. Choose
Save and then select the Group Files folder for the target
location and click Save. The group files folder for MicroBase
Professional is usually
C:\Program Files\Dss\MicroBase\groups.
- The group file will be automatically
downloaded.
Use the following steps to upload MicroVib II
Group Files:
- Connect your MicroVib II to your
computer via the 1311 cable.
- Turn your MicroVib II on. Once the
power on self test is complete, press the Mode menu item.
- On MicroBase, click File -
MicroVib II - Data Manager.
- MicroBase Professional will
display the Local File list (local file directory) on the
left side of the dialog and the Remote File list
(MicroVib II file directory) on the right side.
- Select the desired group file in
the Local File list and click the Upload -> button to
upload the group file to the MicroVib II.
- Verify that the group file is now
shown on the Remote File list.
